Diabetes can cause disinterest, dyspareunia, dissatisfaction in woman's sexual life. This can result in disturbed interpersonal relations depriving you of healthy sexual intimacy. Sex problems in women due to diabetes can be easily treated. Do not neglect sexual requirements of partner.

Diabetes can cause less interest in sex because of Depression that may co exist with Diabetes or fatigue that may be a symptom of Diabetes.
Diabetes is notorious to cause vaginal dryness making sex painful (dyspareunia). Note: All women with Diabetes do not have sexual problem.

<h2 text-align:center;>DIABETES AND WOMAN’S SEXUAL HEALTH

What are the interpersonal disturbances and distancing caused by Diabetes?

Do not neglect sexual problem

If you have sexual problems they are not normal part of aging. It is useful to find the cause of diminished sexual desire rather than shove aside your husband rebuking, “Now our children are grown up and married. Even at this age you think of sex?”

Please note, sex, is beneficial to the human body and mind at all ages, in all circumstances where it is possible. Don’t spurn away your husband saying, “You masturbate if you feel horny, but do not touch me.”

Irritability, Arguments and Sexual Dissatisfaction
It should be reassuring for women to know that the culprit behind the disharmony, arguments, fights with your husband is Diabetes. Irritability with your husband, the sexual dissatisfaction, is owing to Diabetes, which has stolen your libido or is causing dyspareunia (painful sexual intercourse). Thus, there is no blaming your partner, your age or any other notion you may have.

Why sex is important?
Do not miss the sexual intimacy that is tender, natural expression of love and closeness. Sexual intercourse strengthens your immunity, lengthens your life span, keeps your cheerful and merry as it acts as nature’s antidepressant and sedative.

How to get help for sexual problem?
It is hard to talk about one’s sexual problem openly even with partner.

Do not shy away from asking your Doctor about sexual issues that have begun after Diabetes.

Counseling and whatever medicines or creams that are necessary restore healthy sexual life in majority of women who bother to take treatment. Of course, keeping Blood Glucose level in check (tight glycemic control) is indispensable.

It is true that all Physicians treating people with Diabetes do not talk about sex.
Doctors do not inform how Diabetes can affect sexual life and how sex can help control Diabetes.

How sex benefits Diabetes?
Sex burns calories. Sex is an enjoyable form of exercise. Frequent regular sex therefore helps keep your blood glucose in control.

Sexual being is inseparable part of human being. Use God given sexual drive and benefit from inherent benefits of lovemaking.
