Foreskin, the front portion of the skin of penis is loose and slides back exposing glans penis. This foreskin is called prepuce. Circumcision is minor surgery done to remove foreskin. Circumcision is done for religious reasons by people belonging to Muslim and Jew community. Tight foreskin can cause paraphimosis. Phimosis is medical reason for surgical removal called circumcision.
